​According to JD Powers, for more than four decades, the Ford F-150 light-duty full-size truck has been the best-selling pickup in America. In production since 1948, Ford's legendary F-Series began in January of 1948 with eight levels of trucks: F-1 for half-ton pickup, F-2 for three-quarter ton, up to the F-7 and F-8 heavy-duty trucks.

7-Up was originally called Bib-Label Lithiated Lemon-Lime Soda and contained lithium citrate right up until 1948.  Lithium citrate has been used for many decades for psychiatric treatment of manic states and bipolar disorder and as a supposed cure for hangovers at the time.

The reason sprinkles are called Jimmies in New England is because in 1948, Dr. Farber founded The Jimmy Fund and an ice cream shoppe named Brigham’s would charge an extra penny for chocolate sprinkles on a cone which went to The Jimmy Fund.
